TWO OF BONES
“CHANGE IS THE SUPPORT OF STABILITY”
A graceful performer juggles two glowing yo-yo’s – He/she is able to suspend these objects in the air for a fraction of a second, seemingly transcending the constraints of time and space.
The ability to juggle two situations at one time. Lightheartedness, joy. Recreation. Harmony in the midst of change. New projects may be difficult to launch. News and messages in writing. A hardworking, ambitious nature, yet changeable; elated, then filled with melancholy.
The duality expressed in this card (the two yo-yo’s, the two distinct backgrounds behind the Juggler) represents the Chinese concept of yin and yang; night and day, beginnings and endings, expansion and contraction. Within yin is the seed of yang, just as within yang is the seed of yin. The universe ebbs and flows, like the cycles of the moon with the Earth’s tides.
“Bones” represent the element of Earth. Traditionally, this card corresponds with the Hebrew word “Chokmah,” meaning Wisdom, from the kabbalistic Tree of Life. It also represents Jupiter in Capricorn.
To truly do this card justice, the elements should be moving.
